At Cancer Care Package, we believe that no one should have to face cancer alone.

OUR STORY
Cancer Care Package began when I, Susan Flowers, battled breast cancer in my early 40s. During that season, I experienced first-hand how overwhelming, exhausting, and sometimes lonely the journey can be. I also saw the incredible difference that small acts of kindness, prayer, and practical help can make.
Since then, I have watched so many loved ones fight this deadly disease, the fear, the uncertainty, the countless appointments and treatments. There is a feeling of just wanting to do something, anything.

THE STARFISH STORY
One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy in the distance, quickly picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean. As he came closer, he saw that the boy was picking up starfish that had been washed up on the shore.
The man asked, βThere are miles of beach and thousands of starfish. You can't possibly make a difference.β
The boy picked up another starfish, smiled, and said, βI made a difference to that one.β
That is the heart behind everything we do.
